Two of Hollywood’s greatest, Tom Hanks and Meryl Streep team up with legendary director, Steven Spielberg for THE POST, a thrilling true story recounting the Washington Post’s role in exposing the Pentagon Papers in 1971.

Hanks and Streep star as Washington Post editor Ben Bradlee and the publication’s first female publisher Katharine Graham, who teamed up with the New York Times to expose one of the biggest political cover-ups in America. Blocked by the White House, Bradlee and Graham challenged the federal government in the Supreme Court for the right to publish the Pentagon Papers, a classified study which revealed the harrowing futility of the Vietnam War and exposed the fact the Nixon Administration had been lying to the public.

THE POST marks the first time Meryl Streep, Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg have collaborated on a project.
